HAIR COLOR
Even though our highlights are usually done with permanent color, eventually they will grow out within 5-8 weeks. We recommend having your highlights touched up every 6 weeks.
Check out our Facebook and Instagram page or sign-up for our email list for more saving offers at Chémel Salon! We offer a referral incentive program where you can either earn or save $10 on your next hair service if you are referred to us or refer others to visit us! So if you are getting a color, highlight, or cut we would give you the amount accumulative off your service! We also offer reward points for pre-booking and retail purchasing!
HAIRCUT/STYLE
Our highly educated stylists offer a thorough consultation to help give you the cut and style you are looking for. They will take into consideration your facial features, styling needs and daily routine to give you the best look for your lifestyle. Our stylists will be happy to assist you with choosing a style and offer advice on how to maintain your hair after you leave our salon.
We do this all the time! If you would like to donate your hair to Locks of Love, make sure it is long enough to cut a 10 inch ponytail off. The ponytail will then be placed in a Ziploc bag for you to send into Locks of Love. Please note that we do not send the hair in here at the salon. It is up to you to send them your donation, once it is cut.
We offer high-end salon products and conditioning treatments from Davines and R+Co to maintain the health and integrity of your hair. Ask your stylist if they haven’t already suggested getting one. These treatments will leave your hair feeling incredible!
We use exclusively Davines products for your hair color services. Mask with Vibrachrom is Davines’ innovative permanent coloring system that introduces technology new to the world of hair color that allows superior, uniform color penetration into the hair’s structure, offers extra shine, high conditioning effect and outstanding duration of color.
We often tell our new guests or guests that may switch from salon to salon that when switching color lines from another manufacturer, you may experience a transitional time as each color line acts differently. Your Stylist will be able to answer more questions about this.
The biggest complaint we hear from our guests is they cannot produce the same results at home as their stylist does, in Salon. We do our best to educate everyone on how to style their hair at home and with that, comes a recommendation for the hair care and styling aids we’ve used to create that look you love.
All of the stylists at Chémel Salon are experienced, highly educated and extremely talented. Our stylists specialize in specific services, such as Keratin treatments, and vary in prices. We recommend speaking to one of our receptionists who can match you with a stylist that will suit your needs depending on your desired outcome, and budget. Our team works on a Level System, which is measured by experience and education. Each stylist’s prices vary accordingly.
Visit our Online Booking page and follow the step-by-step instructions to request your appointment. Our receptionist will ensure that your chosen time slot is available. If that appointment time is unavailable, we will email you with other appointment options for you to choose from.
Our friendly staff will be happy to accommodate all of your needs when you book an appointment at our salon. Just let our receptionist know that you would like multiple services and we will assist you.
If you are looking to completely change your look, or you are unsure and want to discuss all your options, we recommend scheduling a consultation before your first appointment. During your consultation, your stylist will help you determine the best services for your hair type and texture and you can set up your next hair appointment after the initial consultation. Our receptionist will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns.
Please call our salon at (253) 548-8910 to check with your hair stylist to ensure you will still be able to receive your desired services in full.
We understand that unexpected circumstances arise and are happy to accommodate your needs. Our appointment times are extremely limited and valuable. We require that if for any reason you cannot make your appointment, we require 24 hours advance notice so that someone else may have that valuable time slot. Not doing so may result in a non-refundable charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount.
Rescheduling after a no-show: To reschedule your next service, please be aware that we may require credit card deposit to secure the next appointment scheduled. We may also require 50% – 100% of the future appointments booked to be prepaid.
To ensure that you get the date and time that you need, we recommend booking your next appointment before you leave our salon. We also offer pre-booking specials for an extra incentive! Schedule your appointment at least a week or two in advance if you are a first-time client and have specific days and times that work best for you. For our guests who are more flexible, we may be able to arrange same-day appointments.
In the unlikely case of any dissatisfaction with our service you have received at Chémel, we are happy to provide to you the opportunity to return to the salon for us to redo the service. our policy for a redo service is that you must call us within 7 business days of the original service and that the redo be scheduled with the same stylist who provided the service. in the case that the original stylist has no time available an exception may be made, and the redo may be scheduled with another member of our team. We go to great lengths in our communication and consultation to understand the desired outcome. Please note, the redo policy does not cover a change in the style or color & a fee will be applied as necessary. This is only for minor touch ups, not changed minds. Redo only fall under the category of a technical error on the part of the service prover, verses a change of mind that veers from the original service consultation. If a client is still unhappy with the results of service and has consulted with and received a redo and is still not happy, Chémel management will use reasonable and fair judgment on any decision to refund the client. Please note that any personal attempts or by going to another salon, relinquishes all rights to a redo or refund and Chémel Salon is not responsible for that outcome.
RETAIL:
Like most salons, not all of our guests choose to purchase the products recommended by their stylist. We put together a list for you of why you should be purchasing your hair care products in the Salon.
1. Salon products are better. Generally, professional products use gentle cleansers that are more concentrated and use higher quality ingredients.
No one knows your hair better than your stylist, and they can tell when you’ve used over the counter products, including the “natural” stuff.
You’ve spent hundreds of dollars on your color and cut. You should care about what you put in your hair.
2. Cheap brands are watered down. Drug store brands can make a big bottle seem cheap. That liter of drug store shampoo is mostly water and inferior ingredients. Not only do you have to use more to get your hair feeling clean. It’s stripping your fresh color as well as your much needed moisture. If you buy from the Salon, you’ll find, you replace that bottle much less frequently.
3. No Guarantee. Your stylist is very knowledgeable and can recommend the hair care and styling products that will be right for your hair texture, density, lifestyle and desired result. Have you ever asked the person behind the counter at the drugstore what to use on your hair? How did that go? We know our brands and we guarantee you will love your products. If not, bring it back and we will try something new.
We cannot guarantee your color service after your visit with us because some products are harsh and they can strip the color right out of your hair!
4. Invest in your Stylist. If you love your stylist and your Salon, you’ll be happy to hear that purchasing your home care products will support their continuing education. Your home hair care purchases help provide the necessary resources to grow and improve services and your experience.
5. You don’t really know what’s in that bottle. Box stores and online retailers are not hair salons and are not allowed to purchase professional salon products from the manufacturer. They often obtain those products from shady dealers. They may be expired or discontinued, and sometimes diluted or even full of bacteria.
We know everyone wants to save money when possible. However, the prices are rarely different than in the Salon.
Why the Integrity of your hair is our #1 priority!
The healthier your hair, the more love you show it, the easier it will be to duplicate your salon finished look at home. This all starts with the integrity of your hair. The word integrity itself means the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. We, as hairstylists, have an unwritten rule to take the condition of your hair as our number one priority. The simple fact is, if you have damaged or mistreated hair, your look will not go further than the salon doors. If we put you on a schedule, a road to success if you will, please be understanding. All of our hairstylists at Chémel want nothing more than people constantly asking you, “Who does your hair!?”. If you want a drastic change or one that could be problematic because of your hair history, you will need multiple sessions. We are not thirsty salespeople after your money. The look of blonde, full healthy hair would be chosen over blonde fried hair, even if it takes a few more months.
The world we live in today is one of instant gratification. We want things right here, right now. Truthfully, great hair goals take time. That complete transformation after a breakup will be posts of session 1, session 2, and maybe even session 3! Delicious, Victoria secret hair takes a lot of T.L.C and patience on the client’s end. The trick is, to find a hair artist that through each session on the journey to your hair goal, you look fabulous. At Chémel you will never have to worry.
